LEADING German sire Adlerflug is to return to his birthplace of Gestut Schlenderhan to stand the next two seasons.
The temporary relocation has been made necessary by renovation to Gestut Harzburg, one of Germany's most historic studs, where he has stood since being retired in 2010.

Harzburg is owned by the state bank Nord/LB, which does not intend to continue a breeding operation there, so a syndicate of local racing figures have stepped in to rescue the stud and restore it to its former glories.
Adlerflug, a 12-year-old son of In The Wings, won the German Derby and Deutschland-Preis carrying the famous Schlenderhan silks.
He has sired consecutive winners of Germany's most prestigious all-aged race, the Grosser Preis von Baden – Ito in 2015 and Iquitos this year.
Adlerflug is also the sire of this year's German Derby second and Grand Prix de Deauville winner Savoir Vivre and Group 1-placed filly Wunder.
Schlenderhan achieved fame and fortune by standing legendary German sire Monsun.
