GRADE 1 winner Afleet Express, who previously stood at Gainesway Stud in Kentucky, has been sold to continue his stud career in Korea.

The ten-year-old son of Afleet Alex took up stallion duties at Gainesway in 2011 and has sired 31 winners from four crops of racing age.

His leading performers include Grade 3 scorer Diva Express and Bold Kings, who in Korea won the Group 1 Grand Prix Stakes in 2015.

Bred by the McMillin Brothers and James Devaney out of the Listed-placed Distant View mare Expanse, Afleet Express is a half-brother to Grade 1 hero Embellish The Lace and Listed scorer Reporting For Duty.

Afleet Express was trained by James Jerkens to win four races including the Grade 1 Travers Stakes and the Grade 3 Pegasus Stakes.

He stood the 2016 breeding season at Gainesway at a fee of $2,500.
