Al Wukair suffers setback
Al Wukair misses Sunday's Prix du Jockey Club at Chantilly due to a minor setback.
The Al Shaqab Racing-owned colt was last seen when finishing third behind Churchill in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket at the start of May and had been on course to step up to 10 furlongs in the French equivalent of the Derby.
However, trainer Andre Fabre is not completely satisfied with Al Wukair's well-being and connections have opted not to risk the three-year-old.
Harry Herbert, Al Shaqab's racing manager, said: "Andre wasn't happy with him, he didn't think he was 100 per cent, so sadly he will miss the race.
"We still have Brametot, who we own with the Augustin team, in the race to fly the flag, so to speak.
"It's disappointing, but you can't run a horse like this in a Group One if they are not 100 per cent. He's such an exciting horse and Andre didn't want to risk him.
"We will regroup now and try to get to the bottom of the problem, if there is one, and then go from there. I would say he's unlikely to go to the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot."
Al Wukair was one of three withdrawals along with Aidan O'Brien's Epsom contender Wings Of Eagles and Go Fast.
Dee Stakes second Bay Of Poets is one of three colts to be supplemented for the race after being beaten a length and a half by leading Epsom candidate Cliffs Of Moher at Chester earlier this month.
Godolphin have also supplemented Fabre's Soleil Marin, while Recoletos, who was an impressive winner of the Prix Greffulhe or Carlos Laffon-Parias last time out has been added to the race.
A total of 13 remain in contention, including French 2000 Guineas winner Brametot, Appleby's second contender D'Bai and William Haggas' French Guineas third Rivet.
