Algometer set for Munich test
David Simcock is to step Algometer back up to Group One company on his next start for an attempt at the Grosser Preis von Bayern at Munich.
Algometer: Could be heading to Germany
The Kirsten Rausing-owned three-year-old landed the spoils in a Group Three at Newbury on Saturday in what was his first outing since finishing seventh in the Derby.
Following that victory, connections have decided to give the son of Archipenko his first taste of racing abroad for a shot at the 12-furlong prize on November 1.
Simcock said: "We will go to Germany at the beginning of November for the Group One there.
"He is absolutely great. He is a progressive horse and I'm very happy that he does it on the racecourse.
"I'm pretty sure he will strike at the top level given his conditions. Like I said, he lacks a bit of acceleration, but when he is in top gear he is not a slow horse."
