THE blistering start Frankel has enjoyed with his two-year-olds continued on Saturday when his daughter Aljezeera won on her debut at Doncaster, and in the process became his tenth individual winner from his first crop.
Trained by Luca Cumani and ridden by Shane Kelly, the filly found plenty when asked to challenge the leaders and pulled clear to win by two and a half lengths.
Out of the dual Grade 1-winning Dynaformer mare Dynaforce, Aljezeera was bred by Newsells Park Stud and bought by Charlie Gordon-Watson on behalf of Al Shaqab for 450,000gns at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale last year.
She is a half-sister to Lady Dyna, a winning daughter of Tapit in the US, and is from the family of dual Grade 1 hero Cetewayo.
Frankel, an eight-year-old son of Galileo who stands at Banstead Manor Stud, has supplied nine individuals winners in Europe including Group 3 heroine Fair Eva and the Group-placed Queen Kindly.
He broke new ground last month when siring his first scorer outside of Europe when the Kazuo Fujisawa-trained Soul Stirring won on her debut in Japan.
The ten-time Group 1 winner was represented by his first runner in the US last weekend when Brooklyn Bobby finished sixth in a maiden at Saratoga.
