AMBROSIA bids to continue the excellent run of form for progeny of Frankel on Wednesday when the Roger Varian-trained filly contests the second division of Kempton's 7f fillies' maiden at 6.55pm.
Frankel's first crop has already yielded four Group winners headed by Group 2 Lowther Stakes heroine Queen Kindly and in recent days the superstar colt has been represented by exciting maiden scorers Monarchs Glen and Icespire, who became her sire's 16th individual winner when successful at Salisbury on Monday.
Owned and bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, whose colours were famously carried to victory by Authorized in the 2007 Derby, Ambrosia is the third foal produced by their dam Pearling, a 5f-placed Storm Cat sister to six-time Group 1 hero Giant's Causeway and 2007 Cherry Hinton Stakes victress You'resothrilling, dam of the top-class pair Gleneagles and Marvellous.
Tony Nerses purchased Pearling on behalf of Al Homaizi and Al Sagar for 1,300,000gns guineas when the mare was offered by Highclere Stud at the 2011 Tattersalls December Breeding Stock Sale in foal to Galileo.
Her subsequent foal Decorated Knight, a three-parts brother to Ambrosia, has recorded four victories from 1m to 1m2f including in this season's Group 3 Meld Stakes and Listed Festival Stakes.
An additional well-related debutante in the line-up is the James Fanshawe-trained Tribute Act, an Elite Racing Club-homebred daughter of Exceed And Excel who shares her page with three fillies to have been successful for the club at the highest level.
Tribute Act is out of the winning miler Sister Act, a Marju sister to five-time Group 1 winner and champion racemare Soviet Song and a half-sister to the grandam of last Sunday's Prix de l'Abbaye heroine Marsha. She is herself a half-sister to 2014 1m2f Prix Jean Romanet winner Ribbons and 1m4f scorer Goldmember.
Nottingham debut for half-brother to Seal Of Approval
Earlier in the day, Fanshawe introduces another beautifully bred juvenile at Nottingham with the Sepoy colt Scoones starting his career in the mile maiden at 1.40pm.
Owned and bred by Tim Vestey out of the 1m2f winner Hannda, a daughter of Dr Devious from the family of this year's dual Derby hero Harzand, Scoones is a half-brother to five winners including 2013 Qipco British Champions Fillies and Mares Stakes heroine Seal Of Approval, 1m7½f Listed scorer Gale Force and 7f Group 3-placed Instance.
Hannda's yearling colt by Intello was purchased by Blandford Bloodstock for 300,000gns at last week's Tattersalls Book 1 Sale.
The race also features the second appearance of Crowned Eagle, who made a promising debut last month when third at Haydock over a mile for John Gosden.
A Lady Bamford homebred son of Oasis Dream, Crowned Eagle is a half-sister to Group 2 winners Eagle Top, The Lark and Wings Of Desire out of 1m6f Listed Further Flight Stakes victress Gull Wing, an In The Wings half-sister to 2009 Oaks and Irish Oaks heroine Sariska.
Half-sister to top class Taghrooda unveiled at Nottingham
Mubhirah, a daughter of Raven's Pass, is a noteworthy entrant for the first division of Nottingham's fillies' mile maiden at 2.10pm with the John Gosden-trained contender a first runner in Britain for Hissa Hamdan Al Maktoum, daughter of Hamdan Al Maktoum.
Bred by Shadwell, Mubhirah is a half-sister to former stable star Taghrooda, a daughter of Sea The Stars who was crowned champion European three-year-old filly in 2014 after victories in the Oaks and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Mubhirah is the fifth foal out of the Sadler's Wells mare Ezima, a three-time Listed winner from 1m2f to 1m6f who was acquired by Shadwell for 320,000gns at the 2008 Tattersalls December Breeding Stock Sale.
From the superb Aga Khan family that produced Gold Cup winners Estimate and Enzeli as well as Irish Oaks heroine Ebadiyla, Ezima is also dam of the Sea The Stars filly Taqaareed, a 1m4f Kempton maiden winner for Gosden earlier in the year.
