Aurelia heads Cheveley Park 10
The much-anticipated clash between star juvenile fillies Lady Aurelia and Queen Kindly in the Cheveley Park Stakes remains on track after the pair featured among 10 remaining horses after the forfeit stage.
Queen Kindly and Roly Poly, both set to tackle Lady Aurelia in the Cheveley Park Stakes on Saturday.
The unbeaten Lady Aurelia, trained by US-based Wesley Ward, is three from three this year including a breathtaking victory in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and a more hard-fought success in the Prix Morny at Deauville.
Queen Kindly finished only third in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot, but the Richard Fahey-trained daughter of Frankel took a sizeable leap forwards when taking the Lowther Stakes at York last time out, after which Fahey said he would relish the opportunity to take on the American filly at Newmarket in Saturday's Group One showdown.
Also among the high-class field are the Aidan O'Brien-trained Group Two winner Roly Poly, just three-quarters of a length behind Queen Kindly in the Lowther, and Nations Alexander, fourth for Richard Hannon in the same contest.
Brave Anna, the winner of the Albany but disappointing since for O'Brien, is also among the possible starters, as is the unexposed David Simcock-trained Pellucid, who got going too late when third in the Dick Poole Stakes at Salisbury last time out on just her second start.
Missing from the list though is Fair Eva, third in the Lowther, who is set instead to contest the Shadwell Rockfel Stakes 24 hours earlier.
