TODAY’S meeting at Ayr has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
A 7am inspection had been arranged because of the threat of rain and with 8mm in 24 hours and another 2mm expected, a decision was made to call off the card after areas of the course had become saturated.
The track tweeted: “Today’s racing has been abandoned @ayrracecourse due to waterlogging. Past 24hrs 8mm of rain & raining at present. More rain due this morning.”
There will be four fixtures in Britain and Ireland on Tuesday with Flat cards at Wolverhampton and Fairyhouse and jumps fixtures at Sedgefield and Southwell.
