Last season's Royal Bond Novice Hurdle runner-up Bachasson is set to embark upon a novice chase career.

The five-year-old grey, trained by Willie Mullins, was unsuited by heavy ground in the Future Champions Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown last Christmas but was in the process of running a respectable race in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham when he unseated his rider at the last.
"Bachasson is likely to go novice chasing," said part-owner Colm O'Connell.
"He could be exciting. He's forgotten about a little bit because he did most of his winning early on but he ran a good race at Cheltenham before unseating.
"He's been second in a Grade One and three miles probably just stretched him in the Albert Bartlett.
"The JLT at Cheltenham might be the race for him this year if he proves up to that class."
The O'Connell family have refreshed their string for the year as, while Un De Sceaux will still sport they colours, they have another exciting French recruit in Chateau Conti.
O'Connell said: "At this stage, he seems to be a nice type and the races he won have thrown up plenty of winners
"He could be anything."
