Big fancies among Hennessy 28
There were no major surprises as 28 horses stood their ground for Saturday's Hennessy, headed by 2015 winner Smad Place.
Native River: Tops the market for the Hennessy.
Smad Place will now be trainer Alan King's only runner in the race, with Saturday's Haydock third Midnight Prayer among the 12 horses taken out, along, as expected with the race's original top-weight Coneygree.
Ante-post favourite Native River remains an intended starter for Colin Tizzard, along with stablemate Theatre Guide, placed in last year's race.
Nicky Henderson has left in Vyta Du Roc, previous winner Triolo D'Alene, and Hadrian's Approach, while the Irish Gigginstown House powerhouse could be represented by the Gordon Elliott-trained Outlander and Empire Of Dirt, along with Noel Meade's Wounded Warrior.
