ANDRE FABRE introduces a brother to Group 1-winning miler Territories on Friday with Pirandello, a two-year-old son of Invincible Spirit, set to make his debut in Fontainebleau's 6f maiden at 2.45pm local time (1.45pm BST).

The Darley homebred is the sixth foal foal produced by the Machiavellian mare Taranto, who Fabre trained to win twice as a juvenile in France before she finished runner-up for Saeed bin Suroor in the following year's Listed River Eden Fillies' Stakes at Lingfield.

A daughter of the Group 3 Prix de Barbeville victress Magna Graecia, Taranto is the dam of four winners to date.

In addition to being a brother to last year's Prix Jean Prat hero and 2,000 Guineas runner-up Territories, Pirandello is a half-brother to Greek Colony and Italian, sons of Pivotal who have been successful in Europe up to 1m1f, as well as the Tiger Hill gelding Girevole, a 1m2f winner in France.

Pirandello's opponents include the Freddy Head-trained New Approach colt Dusk Falls and Haky, a son of Muhtathir in training with John Hammond.

Dusk Falls is the fourth foal produced by the Pivotal mare In The Mist, a half-sister to 2004 Prix du Moulin heroine Grey Lilas – dam of triple Group 1 winner Golden Lilac – and Listed scorer Kandahar Run.

After being purchased by London Thoroughbred Services for 110,000gns at the 2006 Tattersalls December Foal Sale, In The Mist was trained by Head to win three races from 1m to 1m1f for owners George Strawbridge and James Wigan whose colours Dusk Falls will carry on Friday.

Bred by Strawbridge and London Thoroughbred Services, Dusk Falls is a half-brother to two winners including last year's 1m2f Listed Prix Madame Jean Couturie scorer Iromea, a daughter of Dansili.

Shadwell homebred Haky is out of the 1m1f-placed mare Marah Dubai, who Sheikh Hamdan acquired for €400,000 at the 2008 Arqana August Yearling Sale.

By Dubawi, Marah Dubai is a half-sister to four black-type winners, among them the Prix Saint-Alary heroine Belle Et Celebre and dual Group 2 winner Whortleberry.

Haky will be attempting to become the first of Marah Dubai's foals to register a win with her only other runner to date, the three-year-old Aqlaam gelding Malmas, placed third for Hammond in August over 1m½f.

Haydock debut for close relation to Gimcrack winner Ajaya

A three-parts brother to last year's 6f Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya will have his first start on Friday with Tom Dascombe declaring Mishari for Haydock's 6f maiden for two-year-old colts and geldings at 2.10pm.

Owned and bred by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar, the son of Oasis Dream is the second foal produced by the Hennessy mare Nessina, an unraced half-sister to the Listed-winning dam of Dubai Duty Free Stakes hero Cityscape and Group 2 scorer Bated Breath, who was five-times placed at the highest level.

Well-related colts in action in Newmarket maiden

A couple of six-figure yearling purchases take the eye in the first division of Newmarket's 7f maiden at 4.15pm with Alfarris and Red Label due to make their debuts for William Haggas and Luca Cumani respectively.

Alfarris was offered by his breeder Ecurie des Monceaux at last year's Arqana August Yearling Sale where the son of Shamardal was purchased by Shadwell for €460,000.

The juvenile colt is the first foal produced by 1m1f winner Rose Et Noire, a daughter of Dansili and Grade 1 Beverly D Stakes heroine Royal Highness and is a half-sister to dual Group 2 victor Free Port Lux.

Dubawi colt Red Label is a half-brother to three winners including Tarbawi, who finished third in the Listed Meydan Classic in 2013.

Out of the Caerleon mare Born Something, a Group 3-placed half-sister to 14-time Group/Grade 1 winner Goldikova as well as Prix Vermeille victress Galikova, Red Label is also a half-brother to the unraced dam of Brazilian top-level winner Daniel Boone.

Red Label will carry the colours of Jon Kelly, owner of dual Sagaro Stakes winner Mizzou, after being bought privately by Jamie McCalmont Bloodstock for 375,000gns at last year's Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
