Buick eyes transatlantic double
William Buick is to ride in both the Arlington Million in the USA and the Prix Jacques le Marois in France this weekend.It could be a big international weekend for William Buick
The former has drawn gate 12 in a field of 13 in Chicago but trainer Charlie Appleby is happy with his five-year-old: "His breeze on Wednesday morning went very well," he said.
"He does have a wide draw but we won't change his running style, and he will come from off the pace.
"He will need some luck in running but I couldn't be happier with his preparation," he added on www.godolphin.com.
Roger Charlton's Decorated Knight is in eight while Aidan O'Brien's Deauville will break from 13 with Seamie Heffernan in the saddle.
