Burrows mulls Bowl bid

Oriental Song (white blaze) could head to Newbury

Owen Burrows' promising filly Oriental Song could take on the colts on her next start in the Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury.

The Lambourn handler has earmarked the six-furlong Listed contest at the Berkshire track a week on Friday as a possible target for the recent Newmarket scorer.

Burrows said: "She won well at Newmarket last time, but I am still in the process of having a little look of what is about and coming up with a plan.

"We will try to get a little bit of black type with her now. I am not sure where that will be yet.

"The Princess Margaret is a possibility while I have entered her in the Lowther. It would be nice if I could find a Listed race first. There is the Rose Bowl at Newbury, it would mean taking on the colts, but that is a possibility.

"The Dick Poole Stakes at Salisbury might be a long-term target. I would aim to have her out once, if not twice, before then though."
