DOUBLE: Certificate (NR) and New Caledonia

New Caledonia is a horse who looked like he was going places when running out a ready winner of a valuable mile-and-a-half handicap at Ascot two weeks ago.

The step up in trip appeared to suit the Cape Cross colt after he had shown a fair level of form at a mile and a quarter.

Now that he has come into his own over further, the Mark Johnston-trained three-year-old looks leniently treated as he takes on older horses at Newbury for the first time in the Dubai Duty Free Handicap.

Clem Fandango can get her reward for some creditable performances in classy company by lifting the Shadwell Stud/EBF Stallions Harry Rosebery Stakes at Ayr.

Her efforts include finishing third to American speedster Lady Aurelia in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot, third to Mrs Danvers in Newbury's Weatherbys Super Sprint and sixth to Queen Kindly in the Lowther Stakes at York.

This Listed race looks well within the capabilities of the Keith Dalgleish-trained filly.

Orient Class can continue his rich vein of form by making it four wins in his last five starts in the Al Maktoum College, Dundee Handicap.

Paul Midgley's five-year-old has taken a hike in the weights after wins at Nottingham and Haydock, but is still worth supporting and he has talented 7lb claimer Clifford Lee in the saddle.
