The stewards found Sincil Bank had interfered with runner-up Mushaireb, ridden by David Nolan, and that it had improved the former's placing.

The Richard Fahey-trained Mushaireb, who was three-quarters of a length down at the line, was promoted to first place and David Simcock's Sincil Bank relegated to second.

Fanning is suspended on September 12 and 13.
