Cavalier 100% after Wetherby win
Rebecca Curtis is hoping Irish Cavalier can go on to even better things after his victory in the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby on Saturday.
Irish Cavalier, ridden by Jonathan Moore, wins the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase.
The Betfair Chase at Haydock on November 19 could be the next port of call for the seven-year-old grey after he lowered the colours of Menorah and Cue Card in the Grade Two over three miles at the West Yorkshire track.
Connections are now likely to consider all the major staying prizes following his deserved, though surprise, triumph against two talented, seasoned campaigners.

"We'll have a think what to do now. It depends what the ground will be at Haydock for the Betfair, but I wouldn't rule that out," said Curtis on Sunday morning.
"Hopefully he'll just keep on improving. He has improved every year. It would be nice if that could continue and he'll be top class, we hope."
Curtis reported her big-race winner in fine shape.
"He's absolutely fine. He's come out of the race well," said the Newport handler. "He's out in the field for the day so he's happy enough."
