Coronation aim for Haggas’ Sea

Maureen Haggas had news on Sea Of Grace

Connections of Sea Of Grace hope to run the Classic-placed filly in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Formerly with John Oxx in Ireland, the daughter of Born To Sea moved to William Haggas for her three-year-old campaign and after finishing fifth in the Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket, she came forward nicely to find only Precieuse too good in the French 1000 Guineas.

The trainer's wife, Maureen, said: "Hopefully she will go to Royal Ascot, but she needs the rain as she wants soft ground.

"If we don't run her at Ascot, there are plenty of opportunities throughout the year for her.

"I think she might stay a bit further, but we will stick at a mile for the moment."
