CUE CARD starts out on to the road to potential riches again on November 19 after he featured among the entries for the Betfair Chase and 32Red King George VI Chase, the first two legs of the £1 million Jockey Club triple crown.

Cue Card landed both races last season for trainer Colin Tizzard, owner Jean Bishop and jockey Paddy Brennan before falling three fences from home when seeking to win the final leg of the series, the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Bookmakers make the ten-year-old a 50-1 chance to win all three races this season, and his task was made a little easier after Willie Mullins elected not to make any entries for the Betfair Chase. Vautour and Djakadam were 33-1 and 100-1 respectively to capture all three races.

Former Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Coneygree is among the possible opponents for Cue Card at Haydock, where at total of 22 horses were entered, and at Kempton, where sponsors 32Red have made him a 9-1 shot for victory.

Irish Cavalier, winner of the Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby last month when he had Cue Card in behind, also features in the entries for the Betfair Chase along with the likes of Blaklion, More Of That and former winner Silviniaco Conti.

Mullins targets Kempton

While Willie Mullins has sidestepped the Betfair Chase, Gordon Elliott has entered Don Poli, Outlander and Roi Des Francs. All three also feature in the 33 entries for the King George.

Mullins was touched off with Vautour in the King George last year and could send the same runner back to Kempton on December 26. Douvan, Vroum Vroum Mag and Avant Tout are also entered for the leading trainer.

Vautour heads the betting with 32Red at 100-30 from 7-1 chance Cue Card, while Thistlecrack, who is likely to have his next start over fences at Cheltenham later this month, is just 10-1 for victory.
