Daisies set for long break
Chain Of Daisies could be put away for the season following her "gutsy" Group Three victory at Windsor on Saturday.
Chain Of Daisies: Set to be put away for the season
Trainer Henry Candy reports the progressive four-year-old feeling the effects of a hard race after she held off Ulysses by a short head in the Winter Hill Stakes.
But unless Chain Of Daisies makes a quick recovery, she is unlikely to run again in 2016.
The daughter of Rail Link is, however, to remaining in training next year, when Candy will attempt to step her up to the next level.
"It was a very gutsy effort. There are no real problems with her but she looks like she had a very hard race which she did," said the Wantage handler.
"I would think it most likely that would be it for the season. She stays in training.
"She's had plenty of hard races this year. If she was to bounce back in a big way in the next week then we may consider something, but, at the moment, I'm veering towards drawing stumps.
"We would try to move up a grade if we could next year."
