Dandy a possible Royal runner
Marco Botti hopes Indian Dandy can develop into a contender for the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot.
After having won two of his first three starts on the all-weather, the three-year-old son of Dandy Man made an instant impact on his switch to turf with victory at Yarmouth last Tuesday.
Botti said: "It was a tough race at Yarmouth. There was a lot of talk about the William Haggas horse (Across Dubai) but it didn't surprise me that he won as I expected him to run well.
"He had been running well on the all-weather and he had worked well on the grass at home. He's a horse that tries really hard and he did it really well.
"Something like the Britannia is a possibility for him. We will see what the handicapper does.
"I suppose he will go up a few pounds for winning the other day. We will just have to see whether he would get in the race off what mark he goes up to, or whether we need to run him again."
