THIS year's Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist has been retired from racing and will join Darley's Jonabell Farm at Kentucky for the 2017 breeding season. He is introduced to breeders at a fee of $40,000.

Medaglia D'Oro, the sire of leading performers Rachel Alexandra Songbird, will stand at an unchanged fee of $150,000 and Bernardini will remain at $100,000 for the second year in a row.

Hard Spun and Street Sense will both be standing at $45,000 in 2017.

Kentucky Derby and Dubai World Cup hero Animal Kingdom, whose oldest crop are yearlings, has had his fee cut from $35,000 to $30,000 while Street Boss has had his raised from $12,500 to $17,500.

Midshipman remains at an unchanged fee of $8,500 and Elusive Quality, the sire of Raven's Pass, will stand at $30,000, down from $40,000 this year. Girolamo, a ten-year-old son of A. P. Indy, is down from $15,000 to $10,000 for 2017.

Bernardini's Grade 1-winning son Alpha has had his fee set at $7,500, a drop from $8,500 this year, and Grade 1 scorer Emcee will once again stand at Sequel New York at $5,000.

Darren Fox, sales manager at Darley in America said: "This has been such a great year on a number of fronts. We started the year off with arguably our best year eve in the shed with very strong demand across the board.

"Then Nyquist followed shortly thereafter with his Kentucky Derby win; an Eclipse Champion who was undefeated when winning the Derby hasn't happened since Seattle Slew so it's an exceptional accomplishment.

"We thought Rachel Alexandra was a once-in-a-lifetime filly but Medaglia D'Oro has another great one in Songbird. And Bernardini continues to deliver and has become a consistent source of Graded winners ever year. So all in all, we are expecting strong demand again in 2017 across for our stallions."
