LET'S DANCE capped a superb day for Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh as she gave the duo their fourth winner on an unforgettable Thursday.

Walsh rode the Rich Ricci-owned mare with just as much patience as Nichols Canyon earlier in the afternoon and pounced approaching the last, moving clear of Barra and Dusky Legend in the final 100 yards.

The margins were two and three-quarter lengths and a neck, with the same to Verdana Blue in fourth.

Ricci, who also owned the inaugural winner of the race last year, Limini, said: "It's such a relief, yesterday was tough and it's been a brutal season. We were late to the party but brought the music.

"I'm delighted for the yard and she's a good mare who has got bigger and stronger."

Punters claw one back

Mullins and Walsh have made a habit in recent years of getting punters off to a flier on day one of the festival, but this year they rode to the rescue on day three.

Bookmakers were reportedly hit for an eight-figure sum as a result of the four-timer, with Coral spokesman David Stevens commenting: "As we head into Gold Cup day there is all to play for, as we have well and truly had the smiles wiped from our faces."
