Days doubt for Gold Cup

Success Days is unlikely to get suitable conditions at the Curragh

Success Days, the main challenger to Minding in Sunday's Tattersalls Gold Cup according to the bookmakers, is an "unlikely" runner according to trainer Ken Condon.

The five-year-old, second in the Alleged Stakes on his reappearance, is something of a mud-lover and Condon fears the ground will be too fast.

"I'd say it's very unlikely. He's all dressed up and we want to get him out," Condon told At The Races.

"He's working very well and as he missed out on the Mooresbridge as well it's frustrating, but it's black and white with him.

"There is a bit of rain around but they are talking about watering, so it's very unlikely.

"It's a shame because I'm struggling to see what else is there for him, but we've learned in the past he's very much ground dependant so it looks unlikely."
