OVERBURY STUD has revealed the fees for its roster for the 2017 breeding season with Delegator set to stand at an increased price of £5,000 next year.
The ten-year-old son of Dansili stood 2016 at £4,000 and with his first two-year-olds running this year, he has been represented by Group 3 heroine Delectation.
Simon Sweeting, stud manager at Overbury, said: "Delegator is throwing stock in his own image – which is to say, very attractive, with great walks and attitudes. We've been hearing positive noises all year from trainers, and it was great to see so many do well in their first year on the track.
"Plenty of breeders have already spotted that Delegator is significantly improving his mares and are booking in for 2017."
Cityscape, whose first yearlings sold this year, will stand at an unchanged fee of £4,500, while Mustajeeb, who stood his first season at the operation this year, has had his fee reduced from £5,000 to £4,000.
Sweeting added: "Mustjaeeb covered a first book that is deep on quality, with seven very nice Shadwell mares among the stakes performers of producers on the list.
"He's bred to be a stallion and the mares he received will give him every chance of making it. Mustajeeb has let down into a real beauty, and it's worth remembering that while he was racing, the only colts rated above him over six-or-seven furlongs were Muhaarar and Slade Power."
Melbourne Cup hero Dunaden, whose oldest crop are foals, has had his fee held at £3,000 for the third year in a row.
Fees for Overbury Stud residents Schiaparelli and leading jumps stallion Kayf Tara will be set in the new year.
