Another Cheltenham hero, Mall Dini, aimed to open his account over larger obstacles in the Merry Christmas From All At Fairyhouse Beginners Chase.

But Patrick Kelly's stable star had to make do with minor honours as the Noel Meade-trained A Genie In Abottle (2/1) made most of the running under Bryan Cooper.

Meade said: "He could be one to consider for the four-mile race (National Hunt Chase) at Cheltenham.

"There is a Grade Three race in Naas over three miles (January 28) that we could look at. He needs at least three miles.

"He's a brilliant jumper."

Trainer Gavin Cromwell has high hopes for Prospectus following his impressive National Hunt debut in the Racing On New Years Day 3-Y-O Maiden Hurdle.

The 16/1 shot proved 12 lengths too good for Dakota Moirette.

Cromwell said: "We will have to make an entry for him at Leopardstown now.

"He was professional enough and went to the line well. I like him but the way he won surprised me.

"He'll get an entry in the Grade Two and if it comes up soft he'll get through it."

Minella Til Dawn (5/4) was given a 25/1 quote for the Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival after an authoritative success in the Great Sponsorship Packages At Fairyhouse, Enquire Today Maiden Hurdle.

Winning trainer Gordon Elliott said: "He's a lovely, big chasing type. He's still a baby, and is very raw and green.

"We will keep it small with him for the moment."

Mall Dini's owner Philip Reynolds enjoyed better fortune in the Buy Your 2017 Fairyhouse Membership On Course Today Handicap Hurdle as Tuzo (10/1) struck gold for trainer Paul Nolan and jockey Davy Russell.

Nolan said: "He could go for one of those Pertemps qualifiers at Leopardstown or Punchestown."
