Dias set for drop in class

Trainer Charlie Hills

Bartholomeu Dias is set to have his sights lowered following his fine effort in Saturday's Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Third behind the useful Masar on his racecourse debut at Goodwood, the Mount Nelson colt was stepped up to Listed class on the final day of the Royal meeting and was doing his best work at the finish as he passed the post fourth behind new 1000 Guineas favourite September.

Trainer Charlie Hills is keen to get a win into Bartholomeu Dias on his next start.

He said: "He ran well and we're pleased with him. We will probably try to find a maiden in around a month's time and go from there.

"He stayed on well and will get further in the future."
