Doncaster to hold inspection

Friday's meeting at Doncaster must pass a 7.30am precautionary inspection on raceday morning due to the threat of frost.

The going is good, with the entire track covered by frost sheets in readiness for the cold snap.

But with the weather due to get warmer by the weekend, clerk of the course Roderick Duncan said on Wednesday that he was "very confident" Saturday's high-class card will be fit for purpose.

The second leg of Doncaster's double-header features the Sky Bet Chase and three Grade Twos.

Star Irish horse Vroum Vroum Mag, trained by Willie Mullins, is also due to run in the Doncaster Mares' Hurdle.
