Douvan out; Un De Sceaux runs
The ante-post rollercoaster of Saturday's Betfair Tingle Creek Chase has come to an end with Douvan not being declared on Thursday morning.
Un De Sceaux: Takes his chance in the Tingle Creek.
A 5/1 chance in places early on Tuesday, he was as short as 4/7 within a matter of hours as rumours spread that last season's unbeatable champion novice would be taking his chance in the Sandown Grade One.
But by Wednesday afternoon, his price was back on the drift again, and he was trading at around the 7/4 mark with the race sponsors when betting was suspended for the final declarations.
Trainer Wille Mullins will be represented in the race, however, with Un De Sceaux declared and Ruby Walsh set to take the ride. It will be the Irish champion's first runner in the UK this season.
Gary Moore has declared both Sire De Grugy and Ar Mad to take him on.
The final field of six is completed by Tom George's pair, God's Own and Sir Valentino, and by Vibrato Valtat, who was added by Paul Nicholls when the race was re-offered.
Sky Bet have installed Un De Sceaux as their 15/8 favourite after the declarations, with Ar Mad 11/4 and Sire De Grugy 3/1.
