Egan’s recovery going well
John Egan is reported to be making good progress as he tries to return to the saddle in time for Royal Ascot.
Egan suffered a cracked vertebra in a fall at Kempton last Wednesday when his mount clipped heels and fell in a seven-furlong handicap.
The rider’s agent Steven Croft said: “He’s in good form and aiming to be back for Royal Ascot.
“It was only a minor crack, all his movement is fine and he is back training on the Equicizer.
“It’s all going well and if he continues improving as he has done, he will hopefully be back for Royal Ascot. Obviously you take each day as it comes, but it’s all been positive so far.”
