Exeter hopeful for Friday

Friday's jumps meeting at Exeter is subject to an 8am precautionary inspection on raceday morning.

Friday's National Hunt fixture at Exeter is subject to an 8am precautionary inspection on raceday morning.

Overnight temperatures dropped to -3C, which left the track frozen in places on Thursday morning.

But clerk of the course Barry Johnson told Sportinglife.com: "The sun is out and we're forecast to get up to 5C or higher today, so hopefully all of the frost will be out by teatime.

"Helpfully, we're not forecast anything lower than -1C overnight, so even if we do get a frost, it shouldn't be anything to worry too much about with temperatures going back up to 5C tomorrow."
