Fahey: Ribchester can improve
Richard Fahey feels Ribchester will be even stronger when he lines up in the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot on Qipco Champions Day in October.
Ribchester may prove even stronger by Champions Day
The Iffraaj colt provided the Malton handler with one of the biggest wins of his career in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville and is now set to return to the Berkshire track, where he won the Jersey Stakes at the Royal meeting, for the one-mile Group One on October 15.
Fahey said: "It was a fantastic day for the whole team in France. He will go straight to the QEII now.
"I've always felt he is a horse that will improve with racing and physically he looks the best he has ever looked.
"What he looks like in six weeks' time will be exciting.
"With a bit of luck hopefully he can win more Group One races."
