Fantasy has realistic chance

Pure Fantasy can score at a decent price at Ripon on Tuesday, according to Nick Robson, who has a tip for every UK race.

The Queen can enjoy another winner on Tuesday

DOUBLE: Pure Fantasy and Honorina.

Small fields are the order of the day at Ripon on Tuesday but Pure Fantasy should be a backable price in the feature City Of Ripon Stakes.

Owned by the Queen, she is one of three runners on the card for Roger Charlton, who has only had one other representative in five previous seasons at the North Yorkshire venue.

The Royal runner is bottom weight in a competitive field but now is the time of year for three-year-olds, especially fillies, to take advantage of their weight-for-age allowance.

She broke her maiden first time out this season at Nottingham and was then sent off favourite to beat the smart Sharja Queen at Salisbury.

In hindsight, that was a stiff ask but she was still a bit disappointing.

It was a step back in the right direction last time out at Ffos Las, though, when stepped up to a mile and a half.

Pure Fantasy was second to Swashbuckle and just looked like she failed to get home so the drop back to 10 furlongs is sure to suit.

La Bacouetteuse can repeat his success of last year in the closing Visit Stayers Handicap.

He may now be 11, but there were signs at Ayr last time out that his turn was not far away.

Dropped another couple of pounds, he is still 2lb higher than when successful in this 12 months ago but Iain Jardine has booked a 5lb claimer to help with that.

Sir Michael Stoute's string has certainly avoided the virus doing the rounds in Newmarket and Honorina is taken to fulfil the promise shown last season in the ApolloBet Premier League Cashback Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Kempton.

Second to two classy types, including Nemoralia, as a juvenile, her first run at Nottingham this season was very disappointing.

However, on second glance she obviously failed to stay 10 furlongs and the daughter of Sea The Stars finds herself back at a mile in this.

The surface holds no fears and one of the newcomers will have to be smart to beat her.

John Quinn's Reputation ran well in a hot handicap at Goodwood last time out to suggest his turn was not far away.

He is out again in the Graham's Pearl Year At Measom Handicap at Leicester and should be thereabouts.

Fifth at Goodwood, he was only beaten a length by Hawatif and stayed on nicely.

Richard Fahey's Starlite Sienna should go well in the University of Wolverhampton Racing Maiden Fillies' Stakes at Dunstall Park.

She would not even need to improve much from her debut effort at Newmarket, when fourth of 11, and she can live up to her entries in some valuable events later in the season.
