FRANKEL is due to be represented by his first runner at three when Richard Fahey sends Touch Of Paradise to Newcastle for her first start in the opening mile maiden at 1.35pm on Wednesday.

The Yorkshire-based trainer enjoyed a stellar season last year, sending out just shy of 200 winners in Britain, and enjoyed particular success with another daughter of the dual world champion, Queen Kindly.

Owned by Derrick Smith, Sue Magnier and Michael Tabor, Touch Of Paradise was bred by Southern Bloodstock out of the 1999 champion European three-year-old filly Ramruma, who topped the 2003 Tattersalls December Mare Sale when purchased by John Magnier for 2,100,000gns.

The daughter of Diesis was trained by Sir Henry Cecil for Prince Fahd Salman whose colours she carried to victory in the Oaks, Irish Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks during the summer of 1999, before going on to finish runner-up in the St Leger.

A sister to Listed scorers Royal Scimitar and Ausherra, the dam of dual Group 2-winning juvenile Strategic Prince, Ramruma has produced two previous winners with Touch Of Paradise being a half-sister to 2010 Irish St Leger third Flying Cross and to Gunboat, a winner over 2m4f in Belgium.

Ramruma has foaled two further offspring by Frankel with Touch Of Paradise also being a sister to a two-year-old filly who fetched €225,000 when purchased by Joe Foley at last year's Goffs Orby Sale, as well as a yearling colt by the ten-time Group 1 winner.

From the first crop of Frankel that has yielded 18 individual winners to date, Touch Of Paradise also hails from the family of 2008 Caulfield Cup hero All The Good and last year's Listed Surrey Stakes winner Smuggler's Moon.

Three-parts brother to smart Strawberrydaiquiri in Lingfield debut

Just over an hour later, Andrew Balding introduces the four-year-old Cacique gelding Alhajjaj in Lingfield's mile maiden at 2.45pm.

Bred by Newsells Park Stud out of the triple Canadian Listed winner Strawberry Morn, a daughter of Travelling Victor, Alhajjaj is closely related to Strawberrydaiquiri who secured narrow victories for Sir Michael Stoute in the Group 2 Windsor Forest Stakes and 1m1f Group 3 Dahlia Stakes in 2010 having landed three Listed contests the previous year.

The daughter of Dansili – a top-class miler, sire and brother to the recently pensioned Cacique – was represented by her first winner as a broodmare last March with Strawberry Sorbet successful in a fillies' mile maiden at Lingfield.

Strawberry Morn has been responsible for five winners to date with Alhajjaj also being a close relation to the three-time winning sprinter Wentworth Falls and half-brother to ordinary winners Strabinios King, Strawberrymystique and Strawberry Lolly, the later also being the dam of Listed scorers Strawberry Martini and Tony Curtis.

Alhajjaj was offered by Newsells Park Stud at Book 2 of the 2014 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale and will carry the colours of Salem Rashid after being purchased by Oliver St Lawrence Bloodstock for 105,000gns.
