Follow The Money: Brighton lover must be backed for another Victoire
We start at Wolverhampton at 14:20 for a 6f Handicap where we have seen market support for Curious Fox, [13.0] in to [8.0]. Anthony Carson’s lightly-raced filly is making her all-weather debut and her breeding suggests she could well take to the surface (her dam won on the surface). She was victorious at Brighton on her penultimate start and although she did not particularly build on that form last time, albeit from an unfavourable draw, this is a much more open race and could be worth an each-way stab at the price. Our lay runs in the 15:20 6f Selling stakes at Wolverhampton. The David O’Meara trained Eva Gore had looked very awkward on her last two starts, hanging severely right at Chester last weekend and then unseating soon after leaving the stalls previous to that. As the only winner in the field she initially opened up favourite but her price has now drifted from [2.81] out to [3.85]. There has been heavy market support for Tom Dascombe’s runner, Tennessee Rose who now tops the market. Black Redstart is also fancied to run well and with this in mind we recommend Eva Gore as our lay today.Pour La Victorie loves Brighton and runs again today in the 6f Handicap at 16:10 just two days after running well here on Wednesday. That does not put us off as he won this race last year after just one day’s rest. His figures at Brighton are amazing having been in the top three on ten of his last 13 starts here with five of these being wins. Plenty of money has come for him this morning and he now heads the market strengthening from [6.6] in to [4.3]. Claimer Georgia Cox takes the ride, she has won on him previously and we are backing this partnership again today.
