Follow The Money: Hard to make a Case for this one at Chelmsford
For today's negative we start at Chelmsford and the 14:00 Maiden Fillies Stakes over 6f. Selection Bee Case has drifted like a barge this morning, out to [4.1] from [3.1]. Despite being one of the more experienced runners on show, there has been a lot of alternative market support for the well-bred Sir Michael Stoute-trained Believeable and the David Simcock runner Prufrock meaning this Hugo Palmer-trained two-year-old has taken a drift in the market and we're happy to oppose Bee Case.
We then head north to Thirsk for our back selection in the 15:45 Handicap over 5f. Seamster has seen steady support and is now into [4.9] from an early [5.6], David Loughanne's tough nine-year-old is currently in the form of his career and can add to last week's course and distance victory. Last week the veteran won from a high draw and has once again struck lucky with a stall 11 berth in a field of 12. The way he travelled then suggests a 6lb penalty wont prove a burden and we fancy him to make it a quick double.
Finally for our second positive we stay at Thirsk and the 17:15 1m Handicap where we find our each-way selection Mystic Miraaj who has proved popular with punters this morning, now in to [9.6] from [12.0]. This four-year-old returned to winning ways at York in May and posted a best effort since then when fourth in a Handicap at Carlisle two weeks ago. He faded that day so today's less demanding track should be in his favour and hopefully he will run in to the places.
