SATURDAY'S meeting at Uttoxeter was originally given the green light as the course passed a 7.30am inspection, but a snow storm forced officials to call a second inspection at 10am, a third at 11am – and now they will look again at midday.
"We will have another inspection at 12 noon, with jockeys and trainers," said clerk of the course Charlie Moore.
"There is too much snow in the wrong place and we haven't got all the fleeces off yet. We have to be sure it is safe.
"We have the option of delaying the first race and running on until 5pm."
The seven-race card, which is due to start at 1.10pm, would take place on ground officially described as heavy.
