Seven Heavens: Runs at Goodwood

Promising Frankel colt Seven Heavens faces just two rivals in the Peter Willett "Stallion-Restricted" Conditions Stakes at Goodwood on Tuesday.

A son of classy mare Heaven Sent, the John Gosden-trained youngster made a big impression when winning on his debut at Ascot in July.

The form has been boosted by Ascot runner-up Lockheed going close in the Acomb Stakes at York.

Seven Heavens holds entries in all the major juvenile races at the end of the season and, like Frankel, is owned by Khalid Abdullah.

Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said: "He had a bit of a break after winning at Ascot as, because he was a relatively late May foal, John just wanted to give him plenty of time to mature.

"He worked nicely on Saturday and he should tell us if he's good enough to progress to better races later in the season.

"He won nicely first time out. The form has been boosted and when a horse does that you always hope they can go on to better things and step up.

"There's not much we can do about the small field but he's a good traveller so I wouldn't think it would be an issue.

"They can become tactical affairs but we're not too concerned."

Mark Johnston's Shabeeh, second at Salisbury a week and a half ago, and the Stan Moore-trained newcomer Sheila's Fancy stand in Seven Heavens' way at Goodwood.
