SOUTHWELL: 1.50 Mr Burgees, 2.20 The Tourard Man, 2.50 Sandgate, 3.20 Newton Geronimo, 3.50 Doitforjoe, 4.20 Carrigkerry, 4.50 Midas Gold

DOUBLE: Surewecan and Al Shahaniya.

Al Shahaniya is earmarked for success in the Oilfield Offshore Underwriting Handicap on the Lingfield turf.

The John Quinn-trained filly, owned by Al Shaqab Racing, turned in a nice display at Brighton a week and a half ago when she finished a short-head second to Jawaayiz, to whom she was giving weight.

That was Al Shahaniya's first try over a mile and a quarter, and it clearly added a new dimension to her game.

This looks a hot enough race, but the three-times winning daughter of Zoffany is quietly progressive and deserves to be supported in the hands of Frankie Dettori.

Point Of Woods might just have a little more to bring to the table than his rivals at Bath.

Ralph Beckett's three-year-old has largely struggled this year, but there was a hint of promise from him at Salisbury on August 10 and that should be taken into account for the Markel Handicap.

The gelded son of Showcasing only finished fifth in a five-furlong handicap, but he raced with a shade more intent than on recent runs and is now looking a particularly well-handicapped horse.
