has already won the German 1,000 Guineas at Düsseldorf with Hawksmoor this season and has good prospects of landing a Classic double at the same venue with Architecture (), supplemented for €50,000 for Sunday's German Oaks.

Runner-up in both the Oaks and its Irish equivalent, Architecture is the highest-rated runner in the field, with her form behind comfortably the best on offer.

"I have a runner in the at but I shall definitely be at Düsseldorf as I am quite excited by the prospect of Architecture running over eleven furlongs," said trainer .

"My impression was that she was outstayed at both and the , and the furlong shorter distance over a tighter track should be ideal. She is in excellent form and, although I know that a large field on this rather tricky track can be a problem, I am very hopeful."

Two other British-based jockeys riding in the race are on Parvaneh for Waldemar Hickst and on Meergörl for Roland Dzubasz.

Both are among the more likely German-trained winners but have been badly drawn on the wide outside.

Whip rules

The British riders will have to be careful not to breach the stringent new whip rules that will result in hefty fines and long bans for riders who go over the limit of five strikes a race.

The move follows a fierce debate about use of the whip following the German last month, in which the first and second-placed riders incurred penalties for striking their mounts nine times.

, who finished second, and winning jockey Dario Vargiu both lost 75 per cent of their prize-money share, while Tylicki was hit with a four-day ban.

As of Sunday, a sixth strike will result in a ban of 14 days and a fine of at least 50 per cent of the riding fee. Seven or more strikes will see those penalties increase, while a second offence will incur a minimum 21-day ban and a third 28.

German challenge

Trainer Markus Klug is represented by seven of the 15 German-trained runners and said: "They have all earned their place in the field.

"I think that if the ground continues to dry out, as seems likely, then Kasalla with Adrie de Vries would be my best hope."

Andreas Wöhler, going for a hat-trick in the race, and Peter Schiergen are both double-handed.

German bookies make Architecture a clear favourite at around 6-4. They also make Dettori's other ride on the card, Yorkidding for in the Listed Fritz Henkel Stiftungs-Rennen, also over eleven furlongs, favourite at around 2-1.
