Goldream form pleases Cowell

Martin Harley celebrates winning the King's Stand Stakes on Goldream in 2015

Robert Cowell reports Goldream be to be in tip-top form ahead of his bid to regain his sprinting crown in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot.

The son of Oasis Dream lifted the five-furlong feature on his favoured fast ground in 2015, but missed the race 12 months ago.

The eight-year-old has shown he is still laden with ability with two fine runs in May.

Third to Prix de l'Abbaye heroine Marsha on his return in the Palace House Stakes at Newmarket, he subsequently finished second to Priceless in the Temple Stakes at Haydock despite being uncharacteristically slowly away.

"He's ready and in absolutely brilliant form. I don't think I've had him better," said Cowell.

"He looks perfect and it's all systems go for the King's Stand."
