Half-price entry for 18-24yos
The Jockey Club has launched a new initiative than enables 18 to 24-year-olds to attend meetings at its 15 racecourses nationwide for half-price.
Aintree is one of the Jockey Club Racecourses
Jockey Club Racecourses is responsible for some some of the country's leading tracks, including Aintree, Cheltenham, Epsom and Newmarket.
The 'RacePass 18 to 24' membership card is eligible for fixtures from December 1 and it is hoped the scheme will pay dividends in the future.
Paul Fisher, group managing director of JCR, said: "The Jockey Club only exists to further British Racing and, while this move costs money in the short-term, it is a long-term investment in our sport's future.
"We need to ensure that cost is not a barrier for young people wanting to go racing. It means that our relationship can be based on whether they have a fantastic experience at the races and we can focus on trying to ensure our incredible sporting heroes, stories and rivalries captivate that next generation."
The RacePass gains its members half-price entry to a number of prestigious fixtures including the Newmarket Qipco Guineas Festival and Sandown's Coral-Eclipse on the Flat.
Eligible jumps meetings include Kempton's 32Red Winter Festival, Haydock's Betfair Chase fixture, the Wednesday of the Cheltenham Festival and the Thursday and Friday of the Randox Health Grand National meeting at Aintree.
