THERE will be a full set of fixtures in Britain on Monday after officials at Hamilton gave the meeting the go-ahead.

An inspection was scheduled for 7am but the decision to race was made earlier after heavy rain over the weekend relented.

Clerk of the Sulekha ‏Varma (@SulekhaVarma) tweeted: “Racing goes ahead @HamiltonParkRC. A largely dry day ahead with just the chance of a passing shower or two.”

The ground remains heavy with a GoingStick reading of 4.4 and the action starts at 1.50.

Roscommon’s fixture had already been lost to waterlogging but Bath and Newton Abbot complete the action on Monday.

Salisbury loses race

There was another inspection on Monday morning with Salisbury losing a race on its Wednesday card.

The track tweeted: “The mile race @salisburyraces scheduled for 2.20 on Wednesday has been abandoned due to some areas of unstable ground between 1m & 7f. Despite the loss of mile race, other races @salisburyraces on Wed are fine. Going for the rest of the course is soft, good to soft in places.”
