Handicaps for Seeyouatmidnight
Seeyouatmidnight will have his sights lowered next time out after running no sort of race in the Betfair Chase on Saturday.
Seeyouatmidnight will have his sights lowered
Sandy Thomson's stable star hit the first fence hard and made several other errors on the first circuit before Brian Hughes gave up the ghost a long way from home.
Thomson feels the race may have come too soon after his Carlisle return when he beat Bristol De Mai with such ease.
"He's grand, nothing has shown up," said Thomson.
"Maybe it came too soon after Carlisle, but he was just never travelling. I knew after the first fence and Brian said he never gave him any sort of a feel at all.
"He'll have a quiet week or two and then we'll probably look for a handicap, off 154 I still think he's well treated.
"There's the Rowland Meyrick at Wetherby or he could head to Cheltenham for something.
"You just maybe think that, even though he's a brute of a horse, he wears his heart on his sleeve and Carlisle could have taken more out of him than we thought.
"When he disappointed in the RSA in March that came not long after running at Newcastle.
"He's fit to fight another day, anyway."
