Harbour Law wins dramatic St Leger for Mongan
Laura Mongan became the first woman to train a St Leger winner after Harbour Law won a pulsating contest at Doncaster.
Harbour Law (22/1) egded it ahead of Ventura Storm and Housesofparliament, but the real drama had already unfolded before they passed the post.
The odds-on favourite Idaho unseated his jockey Seamie Heffernan three furlongs out. It paved the way for George Baker to make his move, and he overtook Ventura Storm and Housesofparliament to take victory in the world's oldest Classic.
Both Idaho and Heffernan were reported to be fine after the fall.
