Frankel has made a flying to start to his stallion career with a host of winners in the UK, headed by Group-race scorer Fair Eva.
There are also several of his offspring being trained in France, some by Andre Fabre, while Head-Maarek has just the one.
The trainer is happy with the progress being made by Top Deck to date, but is giving him plenty of time to come to himself.
"He's coming along and I like him. He's not a precocious sort, though," Head-Maarek said of the youngster, who is out of the dam First Fleet.
"He's been on the grass and he's working. I'm building him.
"So far he does everything right. There's nothing wrong with him and he's doing everything we ask him.
"He's got a lovely action for a big horse. He's big and strong but he's very light the way he gallops over the ground.
"If he runs it will be the end of September or the beginning of October."
