GALWAY FESTIVAL scorer Heartbreak City made history on the Knavesmire by becoming the first horse since the great Sea Pigeon in 1979 to carry more than 9st 4lb to victory in Europe's richest handicap under promising apprentice Adam McNamara.
Tony Martin's six-year-old breezed to the lead with a furlong to run and the race was all but over – with Shrewd running on late to claim second ahead of Martin's other runner Quick Jack.
