LEADING US sire Curlin will stand at a fee of $150,000 at Hill ‘n' Dale Farm in Kentucky for the 2017 breeding season, up from $100,000 this year.

The 12-year-old son of Smart Strike previously stood at Lane's End Farm before taking up stallion duties at Hill ‘n' Dale in 2016. His leading performers include the Grade 1 winners Palace Malice, Exaggerator and Stellar Wind.

John Sikura, president of Hill ‘n' Dale said: "Curlin's stud fee increase is commensurate with the extreme quality of racehorse and sales horse he is producing.

"Once again, we feel that the Hill ‘n' Dale stallions offer breeders a broad choice of quality individuals who are priced competitively in the marketplace.

"We are so pleased with Maclean's Music's freshman sire success and are excited about the addition of Kantharos, a sire we believe to be on a very strong upward trajectory."
