Report: Huntingdon, Sunday

Betfred Peterborough Chase (Grade 2) 2m4f, 4yo+

JOSSES HILL delivered the kind of performance connections were certain he had in him when landing Sunday's Betfred Peterborough Chase, the showpiece race of Huntingdon's season.

The eight-year-old is owned by Alan Spence and his CV includes a second in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle and third in the Racing Post Arkle, but since being switched over fences he has won only a novice chase and two small-field graduation chases.

However, the son of Winged Love pulled it all together to record a fluent win under a fine ride from the red-hot Noel Fehily.

He got his mount into a lovely rhythm after a couple of big jumps early and the pair powered clear on the run in to record a six-length victory at 7-4.

Tea For Two was second at 6-1, while More Of That claimed third at 3-1.

Josses Hill, providing trainer Nicky Henderson with a fifth win in the Peterborough, is 8-1 (from 20) with Paddy Power for the Ryanair Chase at the Cheltenham Festival.
