Identity Thief goes for Craddockstown

Identity Thief is set to face four rivals when he bids to maintain his unbeaten record over fences in Sunday's Ryans Cleaning Craddockstown Novice Chase at Punchestown.

Identity Thief: Runs at Punchestown on Sunday

The Grade One-winning hurdler made a flying start to his career over the larger obstacles when winning over this course and distance last month and will be a hot favourite to provide Henry de Bromhead with a fourth success in this Grade Two contest following the victories of Sizing Europe (2009), Days Hotel (2011) and Sizing John (2015).

The Knockeen-based trainer also saddles impressive Fairyhouse winner Ordinary World and recent Naas scorer Attribution.

Identity Thief and Attribution both carry the colours of Gigginstown House Stud and the leading owners have a third representative in the form of Gordon Elliott's Ball D'Arc.

The small but select field is completed by Shay Barry's stable star Bentelimar.

Grade Two honours are also up for grabs in the Florida Pearl Novice Chase.

The Elliott-trained A Toi Phil looked the part on his chasing debut at Down Royal and is one of three Gigginstown runners along with Noel Meade's Disko and Nambour from Mouse Morris' yard.

Elliott has two other bullets to fire in Tipperary victor Jetstream Jack and Space Cadet, a winner at Roscommon a month ago.

John Ryan's Georges Conn, who is likely to be a big outsider, completes the six-strong line-up.
