Capannelle: Premio Roma GBI Racing (Group 1) 1m2f, 3yo+
ROBIN OF NAVAN finished a game runner-up as trainer Harry Dunlop attempted to add to his father John's four victories in the Group 1 event.
Cristian Demuro gave a positive ride on the colt, kicking him clear with two and a half furlongs to go. All the time, though, Potemkin was creeping closer and was driven to take up the running approaching the final furlong.
Robin Of Navan stayed on well enough in the testing conditions but was unable to bridge the gap in the final furlong and was beaten a length and a half, with five and a half lengths back to third-placed Elliptique, who never got into the race with a chance.
Potemkin became the sixth German-trained winner in the last 13 runnings of this race and was following up a success in the Group 2 Prix Dollar at Chantilly. He has now won nine of his 14 career starts.

BRITISH-TRAINED Devil's Bridge finished a well-beaten fifth as Aethos (Silvano Mulas) provided trainer Stefano Botti with his sixth successive victory in this race.
The heavy ground and nine-furlong trip provided the perfect test of stamina for the winner, who was never far off the pace before galloping nine lengths clear once he had gone to the front with 300 yards to run.
